Graduate of the Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry at the Jagiellonian University, Doctor of Physical Sciences of the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow, and recipient of an honorary doctorate from National-Louis University (Chicago, USA).

From 1969 to 1989, he was Head of the Research Laboratory at Sądeckie Zakłady Elektro-Węglowe. In 1980, he co-founded the Catholic Intelligentsia Club in Nowy Sącz and served as its President until 1987. Since 1991, he has been a member of the Founders’ Lodge and Chairman of the Council of Organizers of the Business Centre Club. From 1989 to 1993, he served as a Senator of the Republic of Poland in its 1st and 2nd terms. He is the founder and, for 10 years, served as President of the Sądecko-Podhalańska Chamber of Commerce, established in 1990. From 1993 to 1997, he was a member of the Presidium of the National Chamber of Commerce. Between 1997 and 2000, he served as Chairman of the Conference of Rectors of Non-Public Higher Education Institutions. In the years 1995-1999 and 2002-2005, he was a member of the Board of the Polish Association of Management Education FORUM. From 1998 to 1999, he was a member of the National Council for State Reform. Between 1998 and 2001, he was a member of the National Committee for European Integration. Since 1999, he has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Polish-American Freedom Foundation. Since 2007, he has been a member of the Supervisory Board of PEKAO S.A. and a member of the Main Panel of the National Foresight Programme.

He is the founder of Wyższa Szkoła Biznesu - National-Louis University in Nowy Sącz and served as its Rector from 1992 to 2007. Since 1996, he has also been the founder and Rector of the Wyższa Szkoła Biznesu in Tarnów. Since January 14, 2008, he has been the founder and President of Wyższa Szkoła Biznesu - National-Louis University, based in Nowy Sącz.

He is the author of the books Knowledge Society - An Opportunity for Poland, Kraków: Znak, 2004, and Rediscovering Higher Education in Europe, Bucharest: UNESCO-CEPES, 2004; editor of 4 books and co-author of 35 collective publications. In addition, he is the author of more than 40 publications in the field of structural studies of graphite, the technology of carbon and graphite materials production, as well as over 60 publications devoted to the higher education system, management, transformation of the educational system, and regional development in Poland.

Profile

Doctor of Economic Sciences in the field of management, graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Wrocław, having completed studies in Management and Marketing as well as Law. Since 1999, he has been employed at Wyższa Szkoła Biznesu - National-Louis University, initially as an assistant and, since 2009, as an assistant professor. He served as Vice-Rector for Student Affairs at WSB-NLU from 2009 to 2013, and as Vice-Dean of the Management programme from 2017 to 2018. Since May 2018, he has been Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Computer Science.

He is the author and co-author of several academic publications concerning organizational change, state aid, competition and consumer protection law, and strategic management. He has participated in research projects related to state aid, including a KBN-funded project. He combines his academic and teaching work at Wyższa Szkoła Biznesu - National-Louis University with consulting and training activities. He has conducted training sessions for, among others, the Polish Foundation for Human Resources and Promotion, the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection, and consulting firms such as IMC Consulting and Comper. He is a member of the chapter of the Nowy Sącz Tourism Brand and of the Partners Council of the Association “Partnership for the Provision of Services for Investors Recruiting Staff.”

His academic interests focus primarily on issues related to state aid law, competition protection in the European Union market, and strategic management.

Profile

He completed his Master’s degree in Computer Science at the Jagiellonian University in 1995. In June 2003, he obtained a PhD in Technical Sciences from the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow.

He has been employed at Wyższa Szkoła Biznesu - National-Louis University in Nowy Sącz since October 1995, initially as an assistant, then as a senior assistant, and later as an assistant professor.

Since 2005, he has also performed administrative duties, serving as Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science (2005-2012), Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science (2012), Director of the Institute of Computer Science (2013/2014), and Vice-Dean for Student Affairs of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Computer Science for the Computer Science programme (2012-2013 and currently since October 2017).

In addition to his administrative and teaching work, he has also participated in research and research-implementation projects. Dr. Przybycień took part in research projects conducted by AGH in Krakow concerning the simulation and modelling of mineral processing operations.

As a member of the team working at WSB-NLU on simulation-based business games, he is also a co-author of the business games Biznes Liderand Prosperity, used among others in classes for Management students.

He has been associated with WSB-NLU since 2001, initially as a student and later as an employee. He is a graduate in Political Science, as well as postgraduate programmes in political consulting and management, personal data protection and legally protected information, and Master of Business Administration.

He began his administrative career at WSB-NLU as an assistant to the Rector, later serving as Vice-Dean for full-time studies at the Faculty of Political Studies and as Faculty Secretary. Since 2009, he worked as an assistant in the Rector’s and Chancellor’s Office, and later as Head of the Rector’s and Chancellor’s Office.

He has also worked on EU-funded projects under the Human Capital Operational Programme (POKL) as a coordinator, assistant project manager, promotion and services specialist, recruitment specialist, and trainer. He serves as the University Coordinator of the POL-on Higher Education Information System at WSB-NLU and is also the Secretary of the Senate of WSB-NLU.

Since 2019, he has held the position of Managing Director.

Profile

Habilitated Doctor in the field of social sciences, specialising in political science, Professor at WSB-NLU. He has been associated with WSB-NLU since 2012, initially as an assistant professor and later as Head of the Department of Political Theory. Since July 1, 2015, he has served as the Rector’s Plenipotentiary for the Branch Faculty in Tarnów.He is the author of 4 monographs, editor of 5 books, author of 26 academic articles in collective volumes, and 28 reviews of academic publications. In addition, every year he reviews master’s, bachelor’s, and engineering theses for the purposes of the Tadeusz Tertil Competition organised by the Tarnów City Office and the Tarnów County Office.He has delivered more than 60 papers at national and international conferences. He organised 11 academic conferences and co-organised 30 others. He has written 260 popular science articles for national and local press. Since 1980, he has worked as a press and television journalist and was a co-creator of the crime programme 997.He cooperates with higher education institutions in Poland as well as in Bulgaria, Slovakia, Kazakhstan, and Ukraine. Since 2021, he has held the title of Doctor Honoris Causa of a university in Kazakhstan.

Area of interest

His interests are connected with the field of social sciences and humanities, particularly ethics, philosophy, religious studies, sociology, and journalism. Beyond his academic interests, he is also interested in history. He is the Vice-Chairman of the Pacifist Association and has been a member of the Committee for the Preservation of the Old Cemetery in Tarnów for 27 years. He also serves on the Chapter of the Tadeusz Tertil Award, which broadens his knowledge of the city and the Tarnów region.

Education

He graduated from the General Secondary School in Dynów and pursued higher education at the Pedagogical University in Krakow, at the Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Technology. He also completed postgraduate studies in religious studies as well as postgraduate studies at the Academy of Internal Affairs.In 2012, he defended his doctoral dissertation at the University of Warsaw, Faculty of Journalism and Political Science. In 2017, he defended his postdoctoral dissertation devoted to pacifist views in Poland after the Second World War. Both the doctoral dissertation and the habilitation thesis were published in the form of publicly available publications. They are available in print and in the WSB-NLU repository in Nowy Sącz. Both dissertations were also entered into an international register.

Experience

Before beginning his career in higher education, he taught classes at a private secondary school and also served as Director of Training at a security company specialising in the protection of persons and property.Since 1980, he has worked as a press and television journalist. He wrote articles for several magazines on issues related to religious studies. He co-created the crime programme 997. He was the author of many radio and television broadcasts devoted to religious studies and to the ritual calendar.For 10 years, he hosted the Television Police Magazine 997on Małopolska Television. For four years, he was also a lecturer at the Małopolska Higher School of Economics in Tarnów.

Since 1986, she has been employed at the Institute of Polish Philology of the Higher School of Pedagogy in Rzeszów, which in 2001 was transformed into the University of Rzeszów, first as an assistant, then from 1998 as an assistant professor, and from 2007 as an associate professor.She served as Head of the Language Communication Unit from 2005 to 2008, Head of the Department of Polish Language and the Language Advisory Centre from 2008 to 2011, and Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Philology at the University of Rzeszów from 2009 to 2011. Parallel to her work at the University of Rzeszów, she was also an assistant professor at the Higher School of Social and Economic Studies in Tyczyn from 2001 to 2004, an institution later incorporated into the University of Information Technology and Management in Rzeszów in 2012.She has also cooperated with the Rzeszów branch of the Scientific Society for Organization and Management and served for several editions as a jury member of the Polish Literature and Language Olympiad. Since 2013, she has been employed at Wyższa Szkoła Biznesu - National-Louis University as a university professor. She combines her academic work with educational activities promoting language culture, including lectures and workshops for students, teachers, and librarians; organising and participating in the juries of various humanities competitions, including recitation, literary, and spelling competitions; cooperation with the local press through thematic articles; organising academic conferences; and collaboration with various institutions, for example the Institute of National Remembrance, Szczecin branch, in the field of language editing of commemorative inscriptions.She is affiliated with scholarly societies such as the Polish Linguistic Society and the Kraków Society for the Promotion of Knowledge on Language Communication “Tertium.” She has supervised two doctoral dissertations in the humanities.Her academic interests focus on the changes taking place in communication in connection with the tendencies of contemporary culture, including their diagnosis, characteristics, and consequences. Her research covers, among others, the language of the media, including advertising, linguistic politeness, language fashions, and rhetoric. More broadly, she studies the factors that influence the effectiveness of communication between people in various aspects of their private and professional lives.

Doctor of Economic Sciences. His principal academic interest is marketing. He began to develop this interest during his university studies, as reflected in the topic of his master’s thesis: “The Marketing Mix in Business Operations on the Example of Pepsi-Cola.” The thesis received high praise from both the supervisor and the reviewer, which, combined with his strong academic performance during his studies, led him to specialize in this field. He is currently working towards his postdoctoral degree (habilitation).
