Bukhara State Medical Institute named after Abu Ali ibn Sino

The Bukhara State Medical Institute named after Abu Ali Ibn Sina was founded in October 1990. It is a state higher education institution that implements educational activities aimed at introducing basic and additional higher education programs. The institute also engages in academic and pedagogical work, scientific and methodological activities, and other initiatives in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Currently, the institute has 8 faculties, including 8 undergraduate specializations, 23 master's degree programs, and more than 20 joint programs with other universities. In total, more than 4,700 students are enrolled at the university.

The university actively engages in international cooperation. It establishes partnerships with foreign educational institutions, participates in student, master's, faculty, and researcher exchange programs, conducts joint scientific research, and signs cooperation agreements with universities abroad.

University students travel for education and internships to the following countries: the Russian Federation, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Turkey, and Poland.
