Author Meeting with Mateusz Grzeszczuk at WSB-NLU – A Discussion on “Worlds of Fear” and Global Challenges

On Friday, June 13, 2025, Wyższa Szkoła Biznesu – National Louis University in Nowy Sącz hosted an author meeting with Mateusz Grzeszczuk – journalist, writer, and creator of the popular podcast series “Podróż bez Paszportu” (Journey Without a Passport). The event brought together students, academic staff, and residents of Nowy Sącz interested in current social and political issues.

The discussion centered around the author’s latest book, “Światy lękowe” (Worlds of Fear), which explores contemporary threats and tensions – including climate change, migration, armed conflicts, and challenges related to access to natural resources. The meeting was open to the public and served not only as a book promotion but also as an opportunity for collective reflection on the condition of today’s world and its impact on life in Europe.

Participants had the opportunity to listen to the author’s introduction and then engage in an open discussion. Questions from the audience touched upon topics such as the role of European countries in the context of global change, contemporary humanitarian crises, and Poland’s place in a rapidly evolving world order.

The meeting was very well received by the audience – attendees appreciated both the relevance of the book’s themes and the opportunity to speak directly with the author, who has long been involved in analyzing international affairs.
