

On August 31, 2024, the XII Festiwal Pieroga Łomnicońskiego took place in Lomnica-Zdrój 🥟 which attracted crowds of visitors from both home and abroad. The event started at 1:00 pm and lasted until late in the evening, offering a rich program of attractions. One of the highlights of the festival was the booth of the Wyższa Szkoła Biznesu - National Louis University which attracted great interest.
At the WSB-NLU booth, attendees could take advantage of two virtual reality (VR) stations. One of them offered the unusual experience of testing the limits of one's fears, especially fear of heights. Thanks to state-of-the-art VR technology, visitors were able to safely face their fears, which generated a lot of excitement and discussion among participants. The second stand allowed immersion in a variety of virtual worlds, which aroused great interest among both children and adults. 💻🎮
In addition, the stand was equipped with a Starlink and a 3D printer that created live models, which attracted the attention of technology and art lovers. Being able to see the 3D printing process with one's own eyes was a fascinating experience that complemented the technological offerings of the WSB-NLU booth. 📡
Also worth mentioning was the presence of the adorable Luna, a dog who became a festival favorite. Both children and adults were eager to come up to pet Luna, which created a warm atmosphere around the booth.
In addition to the technological attractions prepared by our University, the festival also offered other forms of entertainment. At the booth of the “Blyskawica” Historical and Exploration Association of Sącz⚡ you could try your hand at treasure hunting 💎 using metal detectors, which aroused the curiosity of many participants.
There were also inflatables, face painting and other attractions for the youngest, which provided children with unforgettable moments. The centerpiece of the event, however, was a workshop on the preparation of dumplings, which ended with an exciting competition of eating these regional delicacies. 🍽 The festival was a perfect blend of tradition and modernity that will long be remembered by the participants.
