Join the XIV International Scientific Conference "New Economy" 2026

We invite you to take part in the XIV International Scientific Conference “New Economy” 2026, which will be held on 11-12 June 2026 in Nowy Sącz (WSB-NLU campus) under the theme: “New Horizons: Digital Economy and Responses to a Changing World”.

The conference is organized by the WSB University - National Louis University in Nowy Sącz and the Oikos Institute – Research Center Bijeljina, together with partners from many European countries.

What will the conference focus on?

The discussions will include, among others:

• the transformation of markets under the influence of digital technologies,
• digital inclusion and global inequalities,
• new work paradigms and a flexible economy,
• the role of artificial intelligence in shaping today’s economy.

The event includes plenary and panel sessions, featuring speakers from WSB-NLU as well - Dr Justyna Sokołowska-Woźniak and Dr Piotr Czarnecki.

Dr Justyna Sokołowska-Woźniak - PhD in Economics, Assistant Professor at WSB University - National Louis University in Nowy Sącz, combining teaching with project and organizational work. For years, she has coordinated WSB-NLU community initiatives, including Run4aSmile, and is responsible for international cooperation within the Erasmus+ programme. She also supervises the “Event Organization Specialist” specialization within the Management programme. She conducts research and publishes in the areas of economic development and the knowledge-based economy, is active in ERSA, and contributes as an expert to ex-ante evaluations of regional programmes.

Dr Piotr Czarnecki - academic lecturer, manager, and consultant with many years of teaching and training experience, gained both at universities and in projects for companies. For years, he has held managerial roles in the healthcare sector and advises small and medium-sized enterprises on competitive strategy and building market advantage. He holds a PhD in Economics in the discipline of Management Sciences (University of Łódź), completed postgraduate studies in Company Management at WSB-NLU, and holds an MA in Political Science (International Relations, University of Warsaw).

Workshop session - join actively

A workshop session will also take place during the event. We invite students, staff, and participants from outside the university (anyone who would like to join):

• presentation time: up to 10 minutes per paper,
• sessions will run in parallel,
• workshop sessions will be organized in thematic blocks.
