One night, dozens of scientific discoveries and countless opportunities to see that science can surprise, entertain and inspire! On 25 September 2026 (Friday) from 7:00 p.m., the campus of Wyższa Szkoła Biznesu – National Louis University in Nowy Sącz will once again become a place full of experiments, demonstrations, workshops and modern technologies.
This year’s edition will be special – Małopolska Researchers’ Night will take place for the 20th time. The event has been organised in Małopolska since 2007 and refers to the European Researchers’ Night. Every year, it opens the world of science to participants in a completely different way – through experiments, meetings, demonstrations and activities prepared for children, teenagers and adults alike.
WSB-NLU is once again joining this unique initiative. Last year’s Małopolska Researchers’ Night attracted nearly 1,300 participants to our campus, and the prepared programme included more than 60 different attractions. This year, we also want to show science from a perspective that cannot always be experienced during a traditional lesson or lecture.
We encourage you to join the Facebook event, where we will publish detailed information about the event: MNN2026 – STAY UP TO DATE
What will await the participants?
The programme of Małopolska Researchers’ Night 2026 will combine science, experiments, technology, forensic science, rescue services, law and entertainment.
The prepared attractions will include, among others:
-
“Magic vs Science” – a meeting of a magician and a scientist on one stage, with an attempt to answer the question of where magic ends and science begins,
-
spectacular experiments with liquid nitrogen, which reaches a boiling point of nearly –196°C,
-
a space journey through the Solar System and discovering the secrets of planets,
-
chemistry and physics workshops as well as experiments allowing participants to discover how the laws of science work,
-
The Forensic Laboratory of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Nowy Sącz, where participants will learn about methods of securing evidence and analysing fingerprints,
-
a meeting with firefighters from the Municipal Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Nowy Sącz and the opportunity to see the equipment used during rescue operations up close,
-
a presentation by the GRS OSP Nowy Sącz Special Rescue Group – including quad bikes, rescue equipment and gear used during operations in difficult terrain,
-
the opportunity to enter a real courtroom together with the LEX-LAB Scientific Club and take on the roles of participants in a trial,
-
VR and AR stations at WSB-NLU, presenting the possibilities of virtual and augmented reality,
-
A Virtual Campus Tour of WSB-NLU and the Virtual University – a multiplayer 3D educational environment,
-
logic games, puzzles and challenges requiring creativity and concentration,
-
as well as Silent Disco, where participants will be able to choose one of three music channels and enjoy music transmitted directly to their headphones.
And this is only a part of what we have prepared!
Małopolska Researchers’ Night is an event where participants can experiment on their own, ask questions, discover modern technologies and explore fields that we do not always have direct contact with in everyday life. It is an evening for the whole family – children, teenagers, students and adults who are curious about the world.
On 25 September at 7:00 p.m., we will meet at the WSB-NLU campus in Nowy Sącz! Join us.
