Patronage Agreement between WSB-NLU and the Primary School in Zasadne

On 1 December 2025, Wyższa Szkoła Biznesu – National Louis University in Nowy Sącz signed an agreement to take patronage over Primary School named after Maria Konopnicka in Zasadne. The document was concluded as part of the “Partner School” programme. The institutions were represented by dr Dariusz Woźniak, Prof. WSB-NLU, Rector of WSB-NLU, and mgr Bożena Gierczyk, Principal of the Primary School in Zasadne.

The aim of the agreement is to develop cooperation between the university and the primary school in the areas of education, substantive support and the enhancement of teachers’ professional qualifications. The cooperation includes, among others, the opportunity for school teachers to participate in training courses and webinars organised by WSB-NLU, consultations with the university’s academic staff, and the implementation of joint educational initiatives.

An important element of the cooperation is also the support of activities promoting a modern approach to education, the engagement of the school community, and the development of competences among students and teachers. The partnership creates space for the exchange of experience between the academic and school environments and for the implementation of initiatives responding to the needs of the local community.

Students of the Primary School in Zasadne will gain access to workshops, educational events and popular science initiatives organised by WSB-NLU, such as University of the First Age, Mini Power of Computer Science, Run 4 a Smile, and International Cooking Day. The agreement also provides for the possibility of WSB-NLU students completing professional internships at the patronage school.

The signing of the agreement forms part of efforts to build long-term cooperation with educational institutions and to support educational initiatives in the region.
