Student’s House – the heart of the WSB-NLU campus officially opened

On December 18, 2024, we had the pleasure of officially opening Student’s House—the modern dormitory of Wyższa Szkoła Biznesu – National Louis University in Nowy Sącz, located at 17A Grunwaldzka Street. It was a special event that attracted numerous guests, including university authorities, students, and representatives of the local community.

The ceremony was opened by the Rector of WSB-NLU, Dr. Dariusz Woźniak, Prof. WSB-NLU, who welcomed all attendees and emphasized the significance of this investment for the university’s development. Next, the Chancellor of WSB-NLU, Przemysław Bochenek, took the floor, followed by the university’s President, Dr. Krzysztof Pawłowski. The official part concluded with a celebratory toast, highlighted by a spectacular fireworks display.

During the second part of the event, guests had the opportunity to tour the modern building. The evening ended with a shared celebration at the Student’s Club restaurant, located on the dormitory’s ground floor.

Student’s House is the result of a year-and-a-half-long construction project, which began in January 2022. The dormitory was built on the site of former tennis courts. In the first phase of the investment, a 4,000 m² building was constructed, offering single, double, and triple rooms for over 120 students. Each room is equipped with a private bathroom and kitchenette.

The 20-meter-high building has six floors, featuring shared kitchens, laundry rooms, and utility areas. A green rooftop terrace is located on the top floor. Additionally, ten modern lecture halls were built, each accommodating 50 students. The entire project was financed from the university’s own funds, with the general contractor being the Remontowo-Budowlana company of Tadeusz Pióro from Łabowa.

Student’s House combines spaces for studying, relaxation, and student integration, making it a unique landmark on the WSB-NLU campus.
