WSB-NLU at the Primary School named after Mieczysław Wieczorek as part of the “Partnerska Szkoła” Program

As part of the “Partnerska Szkoła” Program of the Wyższa Szkoła Biznesu - National Louis University, we visited the Primary School named after Mieczysław Wieczorek, where we conducted a lecture titled “Words that hurt: psychological violence in the offline and online world”.
The meeting was led by mgr Artur Majchrzak – Director of the Institute of Diagnostics, Opinion and Psychological Assistance in Nowy Sącz and the Non-public Psychological and Pedagogical Counseling Center at IDOiPP WSB-NLU. He is a graduate of psychology with a specialization in clinical and personality psychology, and also holds a bachelor’s degree in Management. He has completed numerous postgraduate studies, including in the fields of pedagogical preparation, Social Skills Training (TUS), behavioral addictions, teaching ethics, as well as theological and catechetical studies. His main interests include psychological assistance, tools used in psychological diagnosis, and personality psychology. He is also a co-owner of the WM Psychological Center and works as a school psychologist in primary schools.
The second part of the meeting was led by mgr inż Wojciech Bobak – an IT Security specialist with over 10 years of experience, a speaker at many conferences, podcasts, and interviews on IT security for youth and adults, including corporate clients. He is the coordinator of the IT Infrastructure Team at WSB-NLU, an academic teacher and supervisor of the Cybersecurity Analyst specialization, as well as the coordinator of the “IT Sec for YOU” project. In his work, he focuses, among others, on security audits and testing, OSINT, post-breach analysis, IoT security, and the hardening of systems and computer networks.
During the meeting, a topic important in the daily life of children and youth was addressed – psychological violence in the offline and online world. Students learned what hurtful messages are, how they affect well-being and peer relationships, and how to respond when signs of psychological violence appear. The role of adult support, the importance of building a safe atmosphere in the classroom, and responsible use of the internet were also emphasized, including taking care of privacy and online safety.
We are glad that thanks to the “Partnerska Szkoła” Program we can support schools in carrying out educational and preventive activities and strengthen awareness in areas important for students’ well-being.
