On 24 November 2025, the Wyższa Szkoła Biznesu – National Louis University in Nowy Sącz signed an agreement to take patronage over Primary School No. 2 named after St. Stanislaus Kostka in Lubomierz. The agreement was signed by dr Dariusz Woźniak, Prof. WSB-NLU, Rector of WSB-NLU, and mgr Maria Bożek, Principal of Primary School No. 2 in Lubomierz. The cooperation is implemented as part of the “Partner School” programme.

The agreement aims to support the educational development of students and to enhance the professional competences of the school’s teaching staff. As part of the cooperation, teachers from Primary School No. 2 in Lubomierz will have the opportunity to participate in training courses and webinars organised by WSB-NLU, benefit from substantive consultations with the university’s academic staff, and engage in joint initiatives promoting education and development.

Students of Primary School No. 2 in Lubomierz will be able to take part in workshops, educational events and popular science initiatives organised by WSB-NLU, such as University of the First Age, Mini Power of Computer Science, and Run 4 a Smile. The agreement also provides for the possibility of WSB-NLU students completing professional internships at the patronage school.

An important element of the cooperation is also substantive support for initiatives undertaken by the school, as well as joint activities aimed at promoting education, modern teaching methods and social engagement in the region. The partnership fosters the exchange of experience between the academic and school communities.

The cooperation represents another step in building lasting relations between the university and local educational institutions, based on dialogue, knowledge sharing and joint educational initiatives.
