ZSEM OC CUP 3 – the largest edition in the history of the event with an international reach

On April 10, 2026, the third edition of ZSEM OC CUP took place under the patronage of the Wyższa Szkoła Biznesu - National Louis University in Nowy Sącz – an event dedicated to computer science and computer hardware optimization. This year’s edition attracted around 500 participants, twice as many as in the previous year. 25 teams from various parts of Poland took part in the competition, including a team representing a primary school. The event was held in the sports hall of the General Józef Kustroń Electrical and Mechanical School Complex in Nowy Sącz.

The program included not only competitions but also student lectures on topics such as operating systems, game optimization issues, and retro hardware. Overclocking demonstrations using liquid nitrogen, conducted by experienced specialists, were particularly popular.

Participants could also visit the retro zone, where working computers such as the Commodore 64 and setups with Windows 95, 98, and XP systems were available. Additional attractions included game speedruns and a live broadcast of the event on YouTube, which can be watched via the link.

Numerous prizes awaited the participants, including:

ZSEM OC CUP 3 is the largest undertaking of this kind in the school’s history, setting a new standard for future editions and demonstrating the enormous potential of initiatives created by students.
