WSB-NLU at Krynica Forum 2023
The Krynica Forum is a prestigious international event that every year attracts experts from various fields - business, politics and academia. It is a place where open exchange of ideas, discussions on key socio-economic issues and building relationships at the highest level become a reality. This year, we were honoured to participate in the event with a larger group.
The rector, dr Dariusz Woźniak, prof. WSB-NLU and dr Michał Mółka, Pro-Dean for the Faculty of Law, took part in a panel discussion entitled "Sądecczyzna - the host region of Krynica Forum 2023 and its genius loci. What is the phenomenon of the Polish cradle of entrepreneurship?". During the discussion, many key issues concerning the phenomenon of Sądecczyzna as the cradle of entrepreneurship in Poland were raised. Among others, the history of trade and craft in the region, the strategic location of Sądecczyzna and the unique socio-economic experiment of the 1950s and 1960s were discussed.
During a panel discussion on the phenomenon of the Sącz region, Dr Dariusz Woźniak pointed out that the exchange of information and experience takes place not only within companies, but also in academic spaces such as university corridors but also other public spaces. "A key aspect is the ability to dialogue, both in formal structures and in informal conversations. It is important that entrepreneurs are open to collaboration, even if they are in competition with each other," - the Rector pointed out.
Dr Michał Mółka, in turn, emphasised the unique characteristics of the people of the Sącz region, such as the spirit of freedom, solidarity and entrepreneurship. According to him, one of the main strengths of the university is educating students in creativity, innovation and courage in decision-making.
Dr Ewelina Jurczak, our lecturer, also took part in the panel "The economy of the future. What will the development of artificial intelligence change??"
And Counselor Alexandra Jimenez shared her knowledge and experience during the panel "Data - the new gold? What capital is data in modern business?".
Participation in the Krynica Forum 2023 was not only an opportunity to present the university's achievements, but also to gain an insight into current discussions and challenges concerning the socio-economic aspects of our country. Collaboration and exchange of ideas with other experts from various fields allowed for a better understanding of the directions in which Poland's future is being shaped in the context of global trends. We hope that the conclusions and reflections from this forum will contribute to further development and innovation in the research and educational areas conducted by our University.
