On 8 September 2023, the Youth Film Evening - PleNEAR - took place in the atmospheric garden of Restaurant 88. As WSB-NLU, we were proud to join the ranks of partners of this extraordinary event.
The highlight of the evening was the 2018 documentary film MAIDEN, showing the story of the first female crew in the prestigious Whitbread Round the World Race. After the screening, participants had the opportunity to discuss the film with Karol Szafraniec, a film expert who has been a regular at the SOKÓŁ Cinema in Nowy Sącz for years.
As WSB-NLU, we are convinced of the power of education and the value of supporting youth initiatives. Therefore, we were happy to support this initiative, alongside institutions such as: Evento, FAKRO, Think of the Future Foundation, Kino SOKÓŁ in Nowy Sącz, Malopolskie Centrum Kultury SOKÓŁ and many others.
Thanks to the involvement of all partners, the Youth Film Evening became an event accessible to every student of a Nowy Sącz school - free of charge! It was an unforgettable experience that allowed participants to forget about their daily worries for a while and be transported to the world of the big screen.
