This year's supplementary recruitment was a great success. Over 850 new students have joined us, which, compared to last year's recruitment, gives us an increase in students by 98 percent (in the same period).

The coronavirus has stopped many - but not the Wyższa Szkoła Biznesu - National Louis University. The university has long been recognized as a promoter of computerization of the university, and this semester it was especially appreciated by our newest students.

SUPPLEMENTARY RECRUITMENT AT WSB-NLU - a spectacular result of the university.
The number of students at WSB-NLU has been steadily growing since 2017. All this as part of the strategy based on which the University Authorities decided a few years ago to change the quality of education policy, adjust the programs to current economic trends and develop the digitization of the university. Has it been successful? Definitely yes.

Finally, WSB-NLU recruited 853 new students during additional recruitment, i.e. supplementing the main recruitment. Translated into individual directions, it is broken down as follows:
● Psychology: 231 additional students,
● 1st degree management: 89 people,
● 2nd degree management: 148 students,
● IT: 107 new students,
● Postgraduate studies: 278 people.

Currently, the university has nearly 4,000 students and postgraduate students. It is worth recalling that in the best period for WSB-NLU, the number of students was about 3,600 people.
A HUGE SUCCESS IN THE SHADOW OF A PANDEMIC
WSB-NLU has long been strongly focused on development in terms of IT. Already in 2001, it was the first in Poland to introduce an electronic index. A few years later, the Cloud Academy™ IT system was developed, which provides comprehensive support for the course of studies, both from the side of the student and lecturer, as well as the University administration. Thanks to it, WSB-NLU students can participate in classes, regardless of where they are. They do not have to commute to Nowy Sącz to actively participate in real-time lectures and exercises. For particularly busy students, CloudA™ has a very useful functionality - all lectures can be played in Offline mode at a convenient time - which is especially appreciated by students before the exam session, when they can repeat everything again. It is worth noting that the CloudA™ system is well prepared in terms of smooth transmission. Popular messengers, customarily used by other universities, often turn out to be inefficient, the transmission stutters, delays or often even suddenly breaks off (this is the most common reason for transferring students from other universities to WSB-NLU). In contrast, the CloudA™ system enables seamless lectures for groups of more than 1,000 people and "endures" even connections to Dubai, where European broadcast coverage usually does not work due to severe restrictions.
- The current situation related to the pandemic, which contributed to the intensive popularization of modern methods of distance learning (which, I must admit, we, as promoters of computerization of universities, makes us very happy) meant that there was a shortage of places for popular fields of study. - said in January 2021 Dr. Dariusz Woźniak, Rector of WSB-NLU.

Students and graduates of WSB-NLU repeatedly emphasize that choosing WSB-NLU is a very good idea. The university is appreciated for the highest level of service for both candidates and students, matching the program to the needs of the labor market and the possibility of distance learning in the currently most modern formula called RealTime Online. All this allows absolutely everyone to get an education - working people, those who want to combine private and academic life, young parents and people with physical disabilities.

What's next? Certainly, we will hear many more about the successes of WSB-NLU. Decisions on activities for the coming years will be made at the next Senate of the University. Why? Because the current recruitment has meant that the increase in the number of students planned for 2025 has been achieved ... in 2021.

The next recruitment at WSB-NLU will start on April 15, 2021.

Finally, it is worth adding that WSB-NLU is a university with extensive organizational and didactic experience. This year marks the 30th anniversary of WSB-NLU. Despite the ongoing pandemic, the entire academic community began preparations for the upcoming jubilee. Work related to the celebration of this ceremony is particularly difficult nowadays, but taking into account all precautions, the University plans to give the entire academic community and its supporters some joy and an opportunity to celebrate such an important holiday for WSB-NLU in a responsible and safe way. As for the date of the ceremony, the organizers are waiting for the stabilization of the epidemic situation in the country.
