Erasmus+ programme offers university staff the opportunity to travel abroad within the framework of mobility projects as well as to participate in other types of international projects organized by universities.

There are two types of mobility available for university staff:

  • trips to foreign universities in order to conduct classes for students (reserved only for academic staff)
  • trips to institutions, organizations, enterprises for training purposes (improving qualifications). The employee's stay in a foreign institution or enterprise in another program country can last from 2 days up to 2 months.

One can apply for a trip only at the university where he or she is employed. Employees are able to take part in the Erasmus+ programme on the basis of contract (employment or other civil law related contract).

Co-financing from the Erasmus+ programme budget is intended to cover part of the costs related to travel and living cost while abroad.

The Erasmus + programme offers scientific and didactic employees the following opportunities to participate in international university cooperation:

  • trips to foreign universities in order to teach students there (Teaching);
  • trips to foreign institutions or enterprises for training purposes (Training; participation in trainings, workshops, exchange of experience, improvement of teaching methods, etc.);

Academic staff can take part on such mobility in foreign higher education institutions with which the home university has signed an inter-institutional agreement.

The Erasmus + program offers the following possibilities to the university's administrative staff and other employees (outside teaching purposes):

  • trips to foreign institutions or enterprises for training purposes (Training; participation in trainings, workshops, exchange of experience, job shadowing, etc.)

The condition for obtaining a grant for didactic trip is knowledge and proficiency in a foreign language, necessary to conduct the classes.
